The Bet.
A guy and a girl made a bet. They came up with the idea that whoever lost at a particular game of their choice would have to do something they would never do in public, in front of everybody, that nobody would expect. The girl made sure it was a game she would win because she wanted to see the guy do something crazy. Unfortunately, the guy was an expert at the game she chose, but he never told her. The guy lost the game on purpose, without letting her know. She laughed, she cheered, she gloated saying, “You gotta do something in front of everybody!”. Secretly, he called up his family and friends, her family and friends, and anyone else he knew to meet up with them. So the girl and the guy went to the busiest place in the city, with thousands of people around. She noticed familiar faces and was so confused as to why they were all there. She turned to look at the guy. He took her by the hand and got down on one knee. He took out his ring, smiled at her and said, “I have to tell you the truth. I let you win, just so I could do this in front of everybody. But it doesn’t matter if you win every game we play from now on, because the only thing I need is you. And if you take me as your husband, I’d have won the best thing in the world. Will you marry me?”Awwwww

It’s a bitter sweet moment. Mama Duck is selling our home and after being on the market for only a day she already got five offers. Mama Duck is buying a new home in Kailua. Her offer for our new Kailua home got approved and we’ll be moving in no time. Bye Honolulu, HI and Hello to Kailua, HI.

You know what’s cute?
Seeing people change for that one person. Whether it’s to stop stealing or to stop doing drugs and maybe even something small like to stop swearing. It just proves that when it comes down to it, they would do whatever to see that person happy. Stopping habits is a hard thing to do and to see people actually doing that for someone’s love is really attractive to me. Just saying.

Prior to the wedding, you gather a strong wooden wine box, a bottle of wine and two glasses. Then, also before the ceremony, you both sit down separately and write love notes to each other, explaining your feelings on the eve of your wedding day. Each letter then gets sealed in its own envelope. You do not read your beau’s letter.
Then, at some point during the ceremony, your officiant explains the process, and the two of you seal the box by taking turns hammering in one nail at a time until the box is closed.
You don’t open the box until your 10th anniversary (or really whatever anniversary you choose. Either way, on the day that you open the box, you both read the letters and drink the wine, remembering how you both felt just days before your wedding day.
